CGB / Customer resources
Prepare your logo for the product.
File quality, small details and the printing method all affect how your artwork appears on a finished CGB product.
Send the clearest source file you have
AI or EPS vector artwork is preferred because it can be resized without pixelation. High-resolution PDF, PSD, JPEG and TIFF files are also accepted. For raster artwork, 600 PPI or higher is recommended; 300 PPI is the minimum printable resolution.
Make small details readable
For silkscreen printing, we prefer type at 16 points or larger and recommend lines at least 2 points thick. Fine serifs and very thin lines can be difficult to reproduce. The imprint area of a pen is different from that of a tote or notebook, so review the actual product dimensions when preparing your design.
Check QR codes before approval
Supply high-resolution QR artwork and scan the code on the final proof to confirm that it works and opens the correct destination. Low-resolution artwork can prevent a code from scanning. CGB cannot accept responsibility for QR issues when these checks are not followed. If you generate a code online, choose a service that permits downloading without a required subscription.
Silkscreen and multiple colors
Silkscreen printing applies ink through a mesh screen, followed by curing. Each additional color requires another pass, and slight movement can affect registration. Designs with colors separated by more than ¼ inch, without touching or overlapping, work best for this method. Send multicolor artwork to [email protected] for review before proceeding.
Full-color printing
CMYK printing combines cyan, magenta, yellow and black to reproduce a broad color range, including photographic artwork. PMS colors can change when converted to CMYK; convert and review your file before submitting it. Screen images and proofs may also differ from the final print.
Paper and polypropylene bags use heat transfer for full-color imprints. The adhesive layer can leave a clear or frosted outline around the artwork. Other products use the printing methods available on their product pages.
Pantone matching
We use the Pantone Plus Series for graphics and multimedia. We work to match requested PMS colors closely, but an exact match is not guaranteed. Product material, surface color and printing method can all affect the result.
Placement, halftones and approval
Unless you specify otherwise, artwork is centered in the imprint area at the maximum available size. One-color halftones can be silkscreen printed; gradients and blends may need adjustment. Review size, placement, spelling, colors and any proof disclaimers carefully before approval.
You are responsible for having permission to reproduce the artwork, trademarks and images you submit. Read the artwork and intellectual property terms before ordering.
